William Rose grew up in the small town of Riverview, found
on the east coast of Canada in the province of New
Brunswick. Although he has been singing and performing
in front of crowds since his childhood, Will first picked up a
guitar in 1996 while in grade 10, shortly after being first
introduced to "Tonight, Tonight" and The Smashing
Pumpkins. He learned to play by learning simple cover
songs that his friends would teach him. During the next
couple of years, Will could be seen performing a few times
a year in the coffee houses held at his high school.
Upon graduating, Will moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick
to attend university where he is currently completing his last
year of bachelor of computer science degree program. Over
the last few years, he has performed several times at local
bars in the Fredriction area, while developing a taste for
songwriting. His mellow style is most likely influenced by
the music Will has fallen in love throughout high school and
university.
Influences: The Smashing Pumpkins, Counting Crows,
Blind Melon, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer,
and Jewel, just to name a few.
