ACT IV AND SPIFC RAISE $500 FOR MAKE-A-WISH!
Five years ago, the organizers of Act IV and the Smashing Pumpkins Internet Fan Club teamed up for a series of charity auctions for
the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ilinois.Now, with the release of the Pumpkins' first album in seven years, Zeitgeist, Act IV and
SPIFC had recently joined forces again to do a very special charity auction.
The items included the first compilation the Pumpkins ever
appeared on - Light Into Dark (from its original vinyl pressing from 1989) donated by Barry Waterman (of Halo Records), a copy of
Light into Dark re-release CD, and a French "The Aeroplane Flies High" Promo CD donated by SPfreaks.com!
Here are the winning bids:
1. French "The Aeroplane Flies High" Promo CD - $255 USD
2. Light into Dark LP (sealed) - $180 USD
3. Light into Dark CD (sealed) - $50 USD
With this auction and some additional donations, SPIFC and Act IV raised $500 for Make-A-Wish!
HELP US RAISE MORE FUNDS FOR MAKE-A-WISH: -There are a number of ways in which you can help us raise funds for Make-A-Wish, a great organization that grants the wishes of
chronically and terrminally ill children.
-First, you can purchase copies of the Ghost Children 2/Friends and Enemies compilation
-Second, you are welcome to donate SP memorabilia you would like auctioned for an upcoming Act IV/SPIFC charity auction. All
the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Make-A-Wish, and your item will be specifically earmarked for the auction.
